How can I eliminate space at bottom of a cell/table?

In working on my home page I created a cell/table (I'm working from an MS
template so I'm not sure which) into which I inserted a lot of text. Which
greatly expanded the height of the cell/table. I don't like long scroll
downs and wanted to breakup the dull expanse of text, so I created a second
page with as a sub of the Home page on the Navigation table. This resulted
in a repeat of the banner, link bars, and footer I had created for the home
page. (Which caused another problem, i.e., an unwanted and seeminly
uncorrectable repetition of the banner -- another subject) but left the
cell/table into which I had inserted the lengthy text intact and empty. I
then cut/pasted the bottom segment of text that I wanted to present in the
second page in this empty box. But when I went back and tried to change the
dimensions of the cell/table, using all the tools called for in the Help
program, I could not remove the unwanted empty space. Where did I go wrong?
What can I do about this?

Check both your table and cell properties settings.
