How can I customize the activities of system restore?

WinXP Home SP2. System Restore not only restores the system settings
but also places the files in the order in which they were at the time
of the system backup. Can I customize the folders that will be restored
to their previous state?

No, there are no built in ways to change what is stored in each System
Restore point. It only contains vital backup information, some drivers, and
the most important files because otherwise each point would take up too much
space.

System Restore is not meant to be a way to backup your files, documents, and
data.
