I get a popup box saying this every time the computer starts. Then it says
it's looking for a fix, and comes back saying there is no fix. What's with
this? Is there a fix? What is HotkeyApp?

Go to Control Panel>Problem Reports and Solutions
And check for a solution
Right click on the problem and select view details to get an
idea of what the problem program is

I did as you suggested, Thank you. The system responded "No New Solution
Found... Check back later." Which I will do.

Hotkey is a shortcut key program for Quickset or your Graphics card. Look in
Startup folder and remove any shortcuts you find. If you have a notebook
computer, you should replace the Quickset application (or whatever your
computer calls it) with one for Vista. It will be available at your
manufacturers download site. It would help if you posted your computer model.

I'm running Windows Vista Professional on an Acer Aspire 9410-2597. Do you
mean remove ALL shortcuts from Startup Folder?

I looked in the "Windows\Start Menu\ Programs \ Startup" folder. It is
empty. Is this the correct folder?

Does the same message pop up when booted into safe mode? If not do some
clean boot troubleshooting to determine what app is triggering this.
Principles are the same in Vista and XP.

I was having a Senior Moment. I meant to say I am running Windows Vista Home
Premium on an Acer Aspire 9410-2597.
