Windows XPro update SP2 is my OS
My system has been takenover by an OS/2 running in protected hiden fat 16
files. My OS is running on 1 of 4 Virtual drives.
I have no deletion and practicaly no install rights. If I manage to make
any adjustment to administrative rights the OS then refuses to boot. When I
attempt to reinstall the XPro SP2 or XPro SP1 the install files are identical
and I end up with the same none consentual system.
I have tried running indepent software such as Ntns Partiton Magic and
others seemingly as fulfution, but alas to no avail. The Underlying OS seems
to negate all attempts at irratication.
I am my wits end.......CAN SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!!??

If you can boot from the CD, you should be able to use the Recovery
Console. Once there, (assuming you can log in to your Windows XP
installtion with Administrator password), run DISKPART. This is the
Windows XP version of fdisk, which should allow you to delete all
partitions. If successful, you will be able to reboot your computer and
reinstall Windows. However, if you have a bootsector virus (certainly
possible), you may have to remove that first. I can't help you if that
is the case; I don't have enough experience.

Hello GateKeeper,
Thanks, I'll give it a try ...Can't hurt!
Sorry not to have responded sooner. Have Been reinstalling at least a
dozen times. As during first bootup is the only time for access to some
informative areas, such as component services, system info etc. Have been
taking notes 4 the boys at Support Center. They are very interested in my
"perdicament".
Thanx again, I'll be sure and get back with some news in a timely fashion.

Gotta fly,
Todd
