My homepage all of a sudden changed from msn.com to about:blank. I tried
going in and resetting my homepage back to msn.com but it goes right back to
being about:blank. I can't figure out what is wrong because when I scan for
viruses, everything comes out clean. I also noticed that my option of
enabling/disabling the internet firewall is gone.

Try:

1. In IE click Tools/Internet Options - Programs tab. Click the Reset Web
Settings button.

2. This is probably adware/spyware. If you do not have an anti-spyware
program, go to www.spywareguide.com. Select Online Scan and allow the
Active X control.

3. Download Spybot Search and Destroy or one of the several other
anti-spyware programs and run it regularly. MS has an anti-spyware program
in beta testing that seems to work pretty well - you can get it here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/...a2-6a57-4c57-a8bd-dbf62eda9671&displaylang=en

4. Don't know what's going on with the firewall. If you are not sure
whether it is working, go here and run a scan:

http://www.dslreports.com/scan

5. If you are sure that the XP firewall is not enabled and you cannot
enable it, go here:

http://www.agnitum.com/download/

Download and install Outpost Firewall FREE, version 1.0.
