On restart, tap the F8 key immediately after the initial system POST and
before Windows starts to load. From the boot menu that appears, choose "safe
mode with command prompt". Logon as administrator, run
C:\Windows\system32\restore\rstrui.exe from the prompt to start the System
Restore GUI where you can go back to a time prior to the update
installation.
