How can I get information about why windows retains a home page settings in
internet explorer. There is a site I would like to clear out and nothing
seems to get rid of it. Use of defaults and applied settings work but
something installed itself there and I want it off the drop down list of
home pages. Short of using another browser, is there a fix to this. Ken

Remove all the parasites on your computer.
Delete all the spywares and bad BHOs from your system.

The entry may be in the registry:
Run REGEDIT from the start/run applet and look for the name of the culprit.
There may be many entries delete them all.
