Hi,

home page setting keeps changing every time I open internet. I keep changing it back but it won't stay. I even delete ilook but it keeps changing back to that. What do I do?

Download the utility CWshredder:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/cwshredder.zip

Unzip - close *all* instances of IE & OE, hit the executable and
follow
the prompts.

You can also download Hijack This from here:

http://www.mjc1.com/files/merijn/hijackthis.exe

Go here:
http://mjc1.com/mirror/hjt/

For instructions on how to use it; you have to post the log it
produces so experts tell you what is good and what is malware

Try downloading, installing and updating the
spyware removers from the links below. Run both of them.

Spybot S&D
http://www.safer-networking.org/index.php?lang=en&page=download

If these don't correct the problem, then get yourself a copy of
BHODemon, available at
http://www.definitivesolutions.com/bhodemon.htm .

It does not need installing - simply unzip and run the EXE program. It
is easy to use. It will find the hijackware DLL files, and give you
the ability to disable them.

Hope this helps.

Changes to the Registry are permanent. Back it up or you'll be outta
luck if something goes wrong.

Navigate to this string:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Control
Panel

If the keys for Internet Explorer and Control Panel are not present, add
them manually.

Right-click the Microsoft key folder, click New, and choose Key.
Name it Internet Explorer.
Right-click the Internet Explorer key folder, click New, and choose Key.
Name it Control Panel.

Right-click the Control Panel key folder and choose "new DWORD value."
Rename the value "Homepage."

Right-click the Homepage value, choose Modify, and change the value from
"0" to "1."

Now go into your Internet Explorer options. Your homepage is locked and
unmodifiable!

Here's a shortcut if you'd rather not edit the Registry yourself.
Download and double-click my file. It will make the above changes to
your Registry automatically.
