Home Page Not Loading

Hi
I have bbc.co.uk as my homepage. All of a sudden the bbc homepage will not
load. The banner at the top says it has loaded but the page is just blank
(not a case of "page not found" message).

Now, I know it is not the ISP cos my laptop loads the page fine. Also, the
subordinate pages (eg bbc.co.uk/news) load just fine. I have emptied my cache
to no avail. Deleting cookies makes it load once but then not again unless
cookies are dumped again - even if done straight away - eg won't load, dump
cookies will load, refresh and it won't load, dump cookies and it will load
etc.

Not a bbc problem as all other computers work with it fine. Not an ISP prob
due to my laptop being okay on the same ISP. Turned McAfee off - no
difference - tis driving me mad. Can anyone help??

I have a Dell PC, Win XP Home and IE 6

Thanks in advance

Sean

The site loads fine on my system. It is probably a case of adware/spyware/malware/hijack
etc. Go to:

http://www.webroot.com

Then click the orange Free Spy Scan button near the upper right of the page. There are
other utilities (e.g. Ad-Aware SE, HiJackThis, etc.) which others will probably recommend.
One hopes that you did not disable McAffee while online.

If the above is not the problem, is it possible that you have inadvertently blocked the
site?
