Home Network Setup

How do people with windows XP set up home networks if they pay for 2 IP's
and have the hub roadrunner sold them? I have XP Home on one and XP Pro on
the other. When I run the wizard and I say I have a network hub I get the
message:
"The networking configuration you selected is not recommended because more
than one computer connects directly to the internet. There is no reliable
way to share files between computers while protecting your computer from
internet security threats.
Microsoft recommends a network in which all computers connect to the
internet through a single computer or through a residential gateway.
This wizard will enable the ICF on this computer. ICF will protect this
computer from internet security threats, but it might also prevent this
computer from sharing files with other computers on your network"

I click NEXT a couple times anyway and I get the message, "Cannot complete
the network setup wizard. An error occurred during the configuration of the
network on this computer.
You can configure the network manually, or you can run the wizard again with
different settings."

I get this message when I try on each computer whether the XP firewalls are
enabled or not.

In Local Area Connections, Properties, it shows only:
Client for Microsoft Networks
File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)

How do other people with Windows XP set up home networks when they have 2
roadrunner IP's using this SMC Ether-EZ hub? Please go easy on me. I
bought
XP because these things were supposed to be easier.

Thanks in advance, Pat.

Most people don't purchase extra IP addresses. With this setup you only
need one. The hardware will perform network address translation and most
allow up to 253 clients.
