Am attempting to set up network (2 computers) using XP Wizard. Original
problem would not automatically assign IP's. Changed to manual and have
connection. Computer one network shows both machines; computer 2 only shows
itself. I can not however access machine 2 from 1 (Invalid path). I'm lost.

Make sure that any firewalls you are running are properly configured to
allow lan traffic. It sounds like Machine 2 has a firewall. Here is an
excellent network troubleshooter by MVP Hans-Georg Michna. Take the
time to go through it carefully and it will pinpoint the problem
area(s).
