Looked it up and it's a Brother Laser printer up to 8 years old.
With laser printers part of the paper path is the toner cartridge itself so replacing that may help but if you're sure the area where the jam occurs is elsewhere then don't bother.
There is also another replacement part for Brother laser printers, the name escapes me.
I had a Brother 2030 laser mono printer for five years and that part I refer to wore out and the cost of replacement made it more economical to buy a new printer.
If you'd had the printer 8 years - or even 5 years - you've done well so don't feel too bad if you have to buy a replacement.
