hklm\software\microsoft\com3

I have a windows service that interacts with ms sql server. I am watching
the service with process explorer and the number of instances of the
following seems to grow over time.

key hklm\software\microsoft\com3

I cannot find any documentation on this key. Do you know what it is and how
to get the instances to stop growing? I think it may be a leak of some kind.

Eventually the service hangs, presumably because it runs out of resources.
