Hitachi harddisk 160G:

IC35L180AVV207
HDT722516DLAT80

The two harddisks are 160G with 8M buffer by Hitachi. Any difference in
performance? Which one is better

You may want to visit Hitachi and read up. The first is an "old IBM 180
GB drive with ata100 while the second is Hitachi 160 GB with ATA133.

And of course most of us know that when IBM made them, they were
(un)affectionately known as the DeathStar drives.

There was a model set (75 GB drive GPX?) that was prone to failure, NOT
the entire Deskstar line up.

I am using a 60G IBM harddisk. It is pretty good !!! So I prefer to buy a
Hitachi Harddisk next time.
