Hit Counter

OK...having a really bad week here, so I hope someone can help me out with
this.

FP2002
FPSE2002
Windows 2000
IIS5.0

I sort of feel silly asking this, but shoot, I can't figure this one out. I
have a client who installed a FP hit counter to his web site. We have
upgraded the server he is on to Windows 2000 from WinNT 4.0. Now the hit
counter is no longer working. Instead of seeing it, we are seeing a box with
a red X in it, indicating the image file is not available.

I've checked the server extensions, in fact removed them and then
re-installed them, but the problem remains.

I'd like to......well.......I would like to just install a different kind of
hit counter, but he is insisting on this one.

Any ideas as to what the problem might be?

Check the permissions on the _private folder or from the IIS MMC, run a
check on the extensions for his account, and let FP tighten security.

With the site open if FP, try create a new page with just a counter, and see
if that works.

Same result....this is a freshly formatted clean windows 2000 install.
I am beginning to think that the MS Lockdown tool, or URLscan is interfering
with this.

I even tried a new web site, and am receiving the same results.

I re-ran the lockdown tool, removed the settings and now it works.

Looks like allowing the lockdown tool to deny scripts mapping is what fouled
things up.

Thanks again, Thomas
