Hit counter - question

I have a hit counter working now (using FrontPage2003, I selected one of the
hit counters) -- but I don't really like the looks of any of the FP2003 hit
counters.

Does anyone have any EASY other options?

The fp hit counters are kinda meaningless.
You can make your own graphics or search the net for one you like. All they
are are equally spaced 0-9 all in one string (one graphic).

Or you can look into using Google Analytics

As Rob said, the FrontPage hit counter has very little worth - it counts
every time the page is downloaded, even if the download is caused by a
refresh. Google analytics provide much more useful information.

Thank you, Rob and Ron. I positively *HATE* hit counters, but the owner of
this website feels the "need" for one... I think they make what might have
been a nice website look very juvenile, but he and I have other opinions
that don't agree, so who am I to question the site owner.

I will check into the links you so kindly gave me. I have a hit counter
working for him -- I don't like the way it looks, but on the other hand, I
don't like almost anything else he has wanted on the website either...

like I said you can roll your own or try a google for "hit counter graphics"
or something along those lines.
