hit counter slow download time

You can take a screen dump of the WordArt, paste into a graphics editor
(Paint, Photoshop, Pain Shop Pro etc.), crop the image and save for the web
as a .jpg or .gif. Then import the image into the website, and use the
imported image.

Could be some other things happening, like your background image is 110K,
that may slow thangs down a bit.
How are you publishing your site...maybe you wacked out the FP extensions?
What's not working about your contact form? It's not setup to email you if
thats what you mean, or is it not collecting info to your file?

Also if you are on a linux/unix server you should remove all spaces from
file & folder names (they will appear as %20).

| Thanks for your replies....the counter is there, it just takes about 10
| seconds to download, which in turn makes my word art at the top of the
page
| take a long time to appear. I tried removing the counter, and replacing
it,
| then saving it and uploading it, but no difference, and the counter is
still
| not incrementing...as for the graphics on the site, I am changing those
as
| well because for whatever reason, they are not working properly....thank
| you!! and as for my contact page, why aren't the forms working??
