We just upgraded to XP from 2000 and love it! The only
problem we've found so far is that we cannot access
history (of viewed websites) via the history file that
used to appear in our harddrive. We have children in the
home and we want to monitor what they are viewing. Can
anyone tell me how to find this or did XP do away with
it? I can still delete history via my ISP settings but
if our children figure out how to do this, we will never
know what they have been watching. Help...

Launch Internet Explorer and from the toolbar select:
Help > Contents and Index, then type: HISTORY in
the Search box and click: List Topics.

Also, it would be wise to become pro-active and install
a good internet security program that gives you the power
to implement parental controls:

Norton Internet Security 2004

-- Includes Norton AntiVirus 2004
-- Includes Norton Personal Firewall
-- Includes prevention of annoying web pop-ups
-- Includes Parental Controls
-- All in one, easy-to-install package

I'm almost positive yuor kids already know how to clear the history and hide
what they've been doing(depending on their age - teens, guaranteed). It
would be best to monitor their activity with a program that is designed to
do that, like Net Nanny. It will tell you EVERYTHING they do on the
internet: who they talk to, what they said, where they go, what they do, and
log it all in a report for you to view.
The history folder is located here:
C:\Documents and Settings\user name here\Local Settings\History
This is a hidden folder so you have to have hidden folders set to show in
explorers folder options, view tab.
