Highlights and extraneous numbers appear when scrolling

These problems do not happen constantly, but often enough to be really
frustrating.

1. When I scroll quickly through documents (Word, Outlook, Excel, and
Access) using either the scroll bar or the arrow keys the document
starts highlighting with every keystroke. The only way I can escape is
to exit and reboot.
2. In addition, sometimes when I use the arrow keys (the ones below the
insert/delete/page up/page down group, i.e. not the ones on the keypad),
extraneous 3’s and 9’s appear within the text.

Look in my reply to your other post for some ideas with the keyboard and if
that doesn't work try a different keyboard. Also do virus, malware scans and
windows update.
