Highlighting to cut and paste - uncontrollable scroll. Any help?

To cut and paste a chunk of a word document, one has to highlight the section
and then scroll to the end of it. However, my scroll zooms out of control if
I try to highlight anything on the pages below or above the current page.
How do I slow it down to manageable levels? At present, it's useless...

Any assistance, much appreciated. Thanks.

Rods,

There might be (and I think there is) a way to adjust the scroll speed, but
I remember it. I recommend click once with the mouse where you want to
anchor the first point, use the vertical slide bar to bring the second point
into the display and Shift+mouse click at the second anchor point. Simple
and easy to control.

Hi Rods-

You are absolutely correct, dragging to select any amount of text is one of
the most problematic ways there is. Go into Word Help ad do a keyword search
on "selecting text" to find a multitude of much mre accurate & efficient ways.
