Running Outlook 2003 SP2 on XP Pro with SP2

Outlook is in standalone mode, connecting to POP3/SMTP only. There is no
Exchange server. The .pst file is about 2.5 Gb in size.

The PC has 1Gb of RAM but performance noticably slows to a crawl while
Outlook is running then returns to normal when Outlook is closed.

The memory is use by Outlook varies somewhat, but is currently reported by
Task Manager to be 141,512K

Systernals' Process Explorer reports the following:

Private Bytes: 101,480
Peak Private Bytes: 105,880
Virtual Size: 720,752
Page Faults 70,276
Page Fault Delta: 0

Physical memory
Working Set: 141,560
WS Private 81,140
WS Shareable: 60,420
WS Shared: 26,440
Peak Working set: 141,560

I have exactly the same issue. I have Disabled IM, removed Norton, set
polling interval to 30 mins. No effect. REady to send the PC pack.
