How can I hide objects on a slide until I start an animation? I have a
presentation from someone that has many objects on the slide, but when
I run the slide presentation, several do not show until an actual
animation effect occurs. How is this done? Thanks.

If you add an entrance effect onto an object, it will appear in the slide
show only when it starts to animate.
What version of PowerPoint are you using? For PowerPoint 2002/XP and above:
To add an entrance effect, click Slide Show > Custom Animation.
Then, select an object and click Add Effect > Entrance > (Choose any effects).
Is that what you want?
