Hidden Slides

My guess is that this iksn't possible but wanted to check
with you guys.

My client has a numbered presentation with hidden slides.
When you view presentation the numbers appear to skip
because of the hidden slides. In other words if #13 is
hidden than while presenting the slides number shows 12
than 14 on the screen. He didn't want to take my
suggestion of moving all the hidden slides to the end. Is
there any check off box I am missing that would take care
of this.

Thanks,

Tony

No, you gave the same suggestion I would have offered. Of course the other
obvious suggestion would be to eliminate the numbering. Why does he need to
number slides that are going to be shown to an audience? My feeling is that
slide numbers distract from the message and don't provide useful information
to the audience.

Hello,

PowerPoint doesn't provide the functionality that you are looking for
(visible slide numbering to ignore hidden slides).

If you (or anyone else reading this message) think that it's important that
PowerPoint provide this kind of functionality, don't forget to send your
feedback (in YOUR OWN WORDS, please) to Microsoft at:

http://register.microsoft.com/mswish/suggestion.asp

As with all product suggestions, it's important that you not just state
your wish but also WHY it is important to you that your product suggestion
be implemented by Microsoft. Microsoft receives thousands of product
suggestions every day and we read each one but, in any given product
development cycle, there are only sufficient resources to address the ones
that are most important to our customers so take the extra time to state
your case as clearly and completely as possible.

IMPORTANT: Each submission should be a single suggestion (not a list of
suggestions)
