HID Non-user Input Data Filter - keyboard problem

S

Scott

I've just purchased a new Wireless Optical Desktop 1000.
When first installed everything worked great. After the 1st reboot the
shortcut keys along the top of the KB stopped working, all except the + and -
volume keys which stayed active.
I've since worked out the following info,
Under HID in Device Manager are listed 2 entries labelled HID Non-user Input
Data Filter. If I uninstall the 2nd one, then scan for hardware changes,
which reinstalls it the shortcut keys start functioning again, until I reboot.

Can anyone help me resolve this issue please.
PC is XP Pro SP3

Thanks

After beating my head against the wall and reading ALL of the posts of
people
having this problem, and no one giving a solution, but a few were able
to
lead me down the right path.

HERE IS THE SOLUTION!!! (at least it worked for me!)

Go to C:\Windows\system32\drivers and delete wdf01000.sys

Then, go to windows update, and select Custom. Then select hardware
updates,
and HID non-user Input data filter should be there again. Now select
download and install, and it should enter the correct information and
fix
your HID non-user Input Data Filter Error / fatal error / failed to
install
problem.

THANK TO CRAKA
