Hibernation Wake-up

The computer wakes itself up from hibernation. I had this problem in the
past but corrected it by changing some wake up permission. I did a clean
install of system because of many incomplete menues. It corrected that
problem but now I have the wake up problem again and can't remember what I
changed. Any help would be appreciated.

Go back into BIOS and check the settings for any Wake-Up events defined
there.

Check that none of your events in Task Scheduler are configured to wake up
the system.

Check that your NIC is configured to *not* wake when it receives traffic.

Not anything I can see in Bios or Task Scheduler, but your suggestion to
check the NIC reminded me of where I saw the wake up options. For anyone
interested: Start,Run type devmgnmt.msc, OK, Click + sign next to “System
Devices†category, Under Network Adapters, rt click on Realtek RTL
8139/810xFamily Fast Ethernet NIC, rt click and select Properties, tab Power
Management , 2 options check the first allowing TURN OFF, uncheck allow this
device to bring the computer out of standby, tab ADVANCED Disable 3 items 1-
Wake up on APR/PING 2 – Wake up on Link Change and 3 – wake up using APM
Thanks
