Hibernation/Sleep wakes to a seriously pixellated display

I have a 7 month old Toshiba Satellite, Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2,
all updates installed. This has been happening since Day One. I have dealt
with Toshiba and I was instructed to update the BIOS, which I did. It did
not fix the issue of when it wakes up from hibernation/sleep having the
display so pixellated it looks similar to a Monet painting. I have searched
for updated display drivers and I have the newest versions.

I have searched the knowledge base for this issue and have not found
anything similar.

What is causing this and how do I fix it?

Try different resolutions first.

Try changing the graphics hardware accelaration.

Just a though, I m not a pro.
Thanks,

Hi, thanks for the tips. I backed down the hardware acceleration one notch,
disabling cursor and bitmap acceleration. I don't run this display at a very
high resolution, 1280x800, so I left that alone. It seems that the reduction
in the hardware acceleration resolved the problem. I gave it a couple of
days in use to test.

Thanks again for your help.
