I have a problem in which my computer performs a desired hibernation, but
instead of powering off at the end, it powers off and then immediately powers
back on, as if it were a reboot. Can anyone please help me with this
problem?? I am up to date on all xp updates, mobo updates (asus A7V8X-X),
and have what i feel is a reliable A+GPB power supply. All bios
poweron/wakeon settings have been disabled as well as within windows. I have
no spyware/malware/adware detected on my computer from adaware, spybot, or
microsoft antispyware. I have no viruses/trojans/worms detected by norton
antivirus 2003 with current definitions. All ANY help wold be greatly
appreciated, and thanks in advance

It could be that it's doing a crash reboot. Is the automatic reboot
turned off in "System Recovery"? Have you tried Start, Help and Support,
"Hibernate Troubleshooting", a number of KB's are available.

Hi Bob, thanks for the response.
My automatic reboot on error is in fact disabled.
Additionally, I tried the search on hibernate troubleshooting, and actually
came up with 0 results, but that's alright.
Any additionally suggestions would be appreciated.
