I have applied KB909095 as my computer utilises 2 GB of RAM, but my computer
now only hibernates correctly once. Subsequent hibernation attempts result in
the whole process going as planned up until the power is meant to be cut
(i.e. after RAM contents have been written to HDD). You can hear the
different fans slow as they lose power but almost instantly speed up again as
the system reboots without any error messages. The previous state is still
stored, but this isn't much use as the computer won't 'turn off' as desired.
Only after a full restart am I able to use this feature - but disappointingly
only once.
I don't have Nero as that seems to impact this area, but no crashes as such
occur either. I'm using MCE 2005 if that is of any significance.
