Hibernation Mode

Joe

I have a Dell 5100 laptop hooked up to an external
monitor and using a wireless keyboard and mouse. When it
goes in hibernation mode or sleep after 6 hours it won't
wake up. My keybord and mouse are Logitech, but I don't
think the problem resides there - I think that it is with
Windows. Does anyone have any ides how I may fix this
problem? Thanks for what help you may offer, Joe

Hi Joe,

Despite appearances, the problem may lie with the external devices. The
normal cause of problems with the hibernate or standby function is driver(s)
that do not properly support it. Since most laptops are equipped with driver
sets that do, the most likely suspects are the added hardware. Try a simple
test, disconnect all the peripherals and see if the problem is still there.
