Hibernate problem

I have an unusual hibernation problem.

When I try to put my PC into hibernation, it prepares to hibernate, then
hibernates, the resets (once the hibernation process is complete) and
reboots back to the log-in screen. Not really a reboot since I am still
logged on (with programs running).

Any ideas how to get hibernation back? I've not added any new hardware or
drivers recently.
