Hi you all.

Well i have an Acer Aspire With Windows XP - Home Portuguese SP2.
The computer always made the hibernation option very well. But since
August (vacations,i upgrade the memory now 1,256GB) i cannot do it
anymore. The file is created always
and have 1,3GB of space. I already made several inspections
(spybot,adware,defender , mcaffee,AVG...)

I don't know what else to do..... because when i went to control
panel/power option, the acer power manegement is called...... and i can
´t save the option i made, like "closing cover"=hibernate. If i select
this and try to see if this is assumed there is no hibernate
option......

Thank you for your time

Best regards

Open a command window, enter:

powercfg /h off

This turns hibernation capability off.

Then reenable it:

powercfg /h on

See if that helps.
