'hibernate' displayed on new laptops

I've noticed that many new laptops have the hibernate option listed next to
standby, turnoff and restart options when you request to turn off your PC,
but on older PC's hibernate is not listed unless you hold down the shiftkey
which changes the standyby option to hibernate.

Is there a way to always display the hibernate option?
Thanks
Mike

Forgot to add: It also has to be enabled in Control Panel,
Power Options, Hibernate tab.

Thanks LV. I followed the KB article. The value is in the registry but I
still don't see the option on shutdown. I've sent some feedback to MS
regarding their hotfix.
regards
Mike
