Hi-Jacked and need help

W

William Adams

My computer has a Hi-jacker and I cannot get rid of it.
It shows up on a Yahoo scan, Microsoft Beta never picks
it up, nor does Adaware or Spybot. I haven't called for
technical assistance to Dell yet because it takes forever
and I'll end up talking to someone in India working from
a script. The scan lists the location but when I type
it into the Search program, nothing comes up. My
computer has takes over a minute to get my home screen
once I click on Yahoo DSL and it gurgles all the time.
It takes 45 seconds to a minute to bring up what I click
on. I noticed the Hi-Jacker in scans abouit three weeks
ago and only noticed yesterday that it was not being
deleted because when I ran another scan there it was.
Can anybody help me.

Please provide some actual information, such as the name and location of the
"Hi-Jacker" that Yahoo scan spots.

Check "manage add-ons" on the tools menu of IE. There's
probably a bunch of plugins there that are not wanted.
Some of them HIDE this feature, so if it's not on your
menu under tools, you have to delete them through the
registry.
