HGTV site - a couple of questions

1 - How did they create the "slide show" effect on their home page.
2 - How did they create the sky with the moving clouds across the top?

Of course I am not looking for nitty gritty details. I just want to know
the means that were used. I can maybe then research the nitty gritty details.

nitty gritty...Flash (Macromedia)...but you can use Swish to do the same thing. Swish comes in various flavors and I think all have free trials. Also Swish is a tad easier to learn.

clouds=Flash
slide show is javascript I think...didnt have time to dig.
