I am an old win 98 user and know how to configure the
startup on that os to only have run at startup what i
want, however i cannot find the utility with xp pro. if
someone cn please help i would appreciate it.

Same thing you did in Windows 98..

Start -> RUN
MSCONFIG
Look under the Startup tab..

What do you mean, "only have run at startup"? Your question is not clear to
