Whenever I turn my computer on it says "we're sorry
windows has encountered a problem and can not be started
please start in safe mode" blah blah blah but when I try
to arrow up to safe mode it freezes. So I tried F10 to do
a restore and it successfully did the restore but when I
go to restart after the restore is completed I am back to
square one with the i'm sorry screen....it's broken and
I'm having withdrawals already. Anyone have ANY
suggestions for me?!?

Julie

You should reinstall Windows.
Boot up the computer with WinXP CD and follow the repair install.
If you have an older Windows, use the startup floppy to boot, and then run
the setup to install as upgrade (installing the same version as an upgrade
is ok; just make sure you choose upgrade, not new or clean install, that may
erase your documents and personal files).

First, it would be better if you put something descriptive of the
problem in the message header rather than just -- help.

Second, have you tried any of the other safe mode options such as last
known good configuration or safe mode with command prompt?
