I'm not sure if I can receive help here, but I'm gonna
try. My husband was messing around with the resolution on
my home computer and now when I turn the computer on all
I'm getting is the Windows XP with the green dots and then
the screen is blank HOW DO I FIX THIS, PLEASE HELP? I
spoke on the phone with someone but I could not understand
him and we also had a bad connection, and that was after
waiting 45 minutes to be connected. Any help will be
appreciated.

Boot the computer to safe mode, only a default video driver
will load and you should be able to enter the display
properties by right clicking on the desktop and selecting
properties. Reset to default settings.

To boot to safe mode, press F8 as soon as you turn the
computer ON. If you have an "enhanced keyboard" you may
need to press the F-Lock key before F8 ( do it quickly)

Boot into safe mode by pressing f8 before Windows XP starts to load.
Basically, press f8 repeatedly (but not too fast, just once every second
will suffice) after turning the computer on. A boot menu should appear.
Choose safe mode. Change the resolution back to something that you know
works for your monitor, i.e. 800x600. Reboot and you should be ok.

btw - anyone and everyone can receive Windows XP help here, that's what we
are here for!
