I want to sell my computer, in order to do that I want to clear the hard drive.
My question is 1. Is there a program that won't make you lose your Windows
XP?
2. If I do lose Windows XP can I reinstall it with the disk Dell sends with
the new computers....??

If you are selling your computer with the operating system (and since
this is a Dell you must provide the operating system since you can't
use it on anything else anyway), then:

1. Wipe the hard drive with something like Boot and Nuke (free) or
Acronis Disk Cleanser. This will get rid of your user data thoroughly.

2. Then either install XP with the disk that came with the system or
provide it to the buyer and let them install it.
