boothead

Whenever I go to a window I do not have the option to go "back" to the
previous window. I have to close completely out of the window I am in
and start all over again. How can I correct this?

I have XP Pro with all updates, I have ran virus scans, etc.
Everything seems to be OK.

If you're talking about the Back button that appears when using Windows
Explorer, this could be caused by several things (none of them serious).

1. Right click in the toolbar area and make sure 'Standard Buttons' is
checked.
2. Go into "Customize" and make sure the "Back" button is listed as one of
the displayed buttons (i.e. make sure it is in the right-hand list, and if it
isn't move it there from the left-hand list.) Or, you could simply press
reset to change the toolbar back to its default settings.

Post back if you're still having problems.
