how can I get back my volume controlls/I'm not able to
place the volume icon in the taskbar/how can I re-install
my volume controll?
 
Open control panel, switch to category view, if
necessary, select sound, speech and audio devices, slect
sound and audio devices, select volume tab, check :

Place volume icon in the taskbar
