Help: Word 2003 Locks up with high CPU utilization when opening a particular file

We are deploying Office 2003 Pro (Enterprise edition) to the organization. A user in the Pilot group came up with an issue where they made some changes to a file. When they try to re-open the file, Word freezes up. On checking the task in Task Manager, we have noticed that CPU utilization for Word is at 99%. The only way to recover from it seems to close out Word by killing the process. We tried applying the new patch for Word (KB830000), but that did not resolve the problem

Has anyone else encountered this problem? Any idea what might be causing this? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

I have encountered this problem, I would suggest going to the "Tools" menu,
"Options" under the general Tab, press the Service Options, under the
Service Options Dialogue select "Online Content", uncheck some of the Office
Online content features to free up use of resources, because Office 2003
uses Internet Explorer alot for Resouces. disabling some of these features
should do.
