hi, am having problem with my sound devices as i reinstalled windows xp in my
laptop with a new cd i bought two days ago and since then no more sound
troubleshooting doesnt seem to work it also says there's no sound devices
installed. could someone help please? thank you

It sounds as though you haven't re-installed the driver for your audio card.
This should be on a CD (a 'Restore' CD or a separate CD) which came with the
computer. If you don't have this CD you should be able to download the
driver from the Internet. That, however, may be easier said than done. It
should be a straight-forward job but you may need a little help from your
local expert.
