Help with XP install

Hello,

I have a new computer and am trying to set up XP Pro correctly.

I did set up but there are strange things happening. For example..

I can't get my network set up altho it says the onboard LAN is connected.

In status it shows no paks sent and I can't get any DHCP #'s.

Also I thought I'd try and see if I could get more from the XP CD with
New Software but I get a panel saying..

SetUP XP unable to open netoc.inf. Tell admin it is 0x2 at line 2011806598.

Another thing is I can only get a 'Classic Desktop' not the usual new XP
one.

Don't worry. I reinstalled the whole thing and it now all works..
