- Help with wireless network

I had it working and had to reload windows. Now my other two machines
talk fine but I can't figure out how to get mine back on the network?
Mine is hooked to the router and the router hasn't changed settings...

Turn off your firewall and then try it. If that doesn't
work check your IP address, if it is set to automatic it
will generate a new IP address everytime you reboot your
computer. Good Luck

It is simpler than that (fierwall is off by the way).

First, I named my computer and workgroup the same it was before.
Still can't find the other computers (Says I havn't the righ
permissions to view the resources)

I am trying to run the network wizard and select the option that I am
connected directly to the 'net and others connect through me...and it
says I can't and tells me to leave the wizard or change my settings.

Can't even get started...

(Last time I configured it I was running (98SE and the Belkin router
disk did all the work for me...I am aafraid to run that disk again
since I now have XP)

TCP/IP properties ---WINS tab ---- tick the enable netbios over tcp/ip----
workgroup name must be the same on all three boxen --- everything
set to automatic, which should be the default.

I Feel stupid...I knew all that (but that's not why I feel stupid)

Problem, was I installed a firewall on my son's computer and he dinked
it up...blocked out his machine from the network. Once I uninstalled
the firewall S/W, it worked fine.

Sheez...
