help with windows Xp

I just purchased a couple sims games for my daughter and
installed them.
once i finished with the installing I recevied a message
that says: it has come to our attention you installed
another sims expansion pack after the sims deluxe, for
this to work properly, the sims deluxe installer will now
update your installion.
after this message I then recieve one that says:
some files may harm your computer etc....
I then hit open and nothing happened.

I have updated my display drivers, I also downloaded a
program called safe disk, which was recommend from the
tech support for the sims, any still nothing happens,
this place has closed so I cant call them again today and
my daughter is driving me nuts! anyone have any other
ideas that might help me?

Donna, go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs. Uninstall all the Simms.
Restart the computer and try again.
