Help with windows XP big problem

[newbie]

Im using WINXP Pro.Ill also try to attach my dxdiag just in case someone
needs that info alos.

Now onto my question. OK when i play video games, mostly WARHAMMER online
and Lord of the RINGS online, when i alt tab out of the game my windows
taskbar gets locked up. I cant access any tabs,and can only use the icons on
my desktop.Clock doesnt work,nothing at all. What i need to do is logg out
and restart again. If i want to get back into the game or any web pages i
have open i have to CTRL ALT DEL and access them that way. Also when i close
a webpage it seeems like the desktop refresh's its self a few times,icons
from right to left disappear and reappear in a few moments,

2. Also i noticed when i try to acess my computer or Control panel a
flashlight appears like its looking for something and then opens. Some times
thats takes 10 seconds ,oncei swear it took almost an hour.(just noticed this
when typing DXDIAG into my run box, it took a few seconds for each key stroke
to respond)

Please help.
