I am having trouble with the snipping tool. It won't copy automatically
or when you mouse/click the copy icon on the toolbar. It WILL save to a
file. It won't send by e-mail using either option.

Any solutions would be appreciated

What do you use for your default email program? If the email option doesn't
work with the Snipping Tool, just save the snip as a file and attach the
file to an email in whatever email program you use.

thank you! I'm using yahoo mail-- but also-- the copy icon is not active as
well-- and doubt if that is a problem brought about by my default mail??

Any other ideas.

Thanks

Hope someone can address this problem. My snip tool exhibits the exact same
behavior as you describe. My default email is Windows Mail.

Make sure that everything is configured properly.

Start the Snipping Tool.
Click on 'Options'.
Make sure that all of the options are selected.

Click the 'New' drop down menu.
Select 'Free form snip'.

The screen should dim and mouse cursor will be replaced by a scissor icon.

Hold down the left mouse button and drag to make your selection.

When you release the mouse but5ton a new dialog box should appear with your
selection showing. Select File/Save As and save the image file to the
Desktop.

Open your email program, create a new message and attach the image file to
the message.

Does this work?

Its only included with useful software...you wouldn't have it.

sorry that I misspelled SNIPPING tool
Yes-- I had gone through ALL those things before I had asked for help.
Simply put-- the copy and the e-mail functions are not active--- period! In
any form of free hand or rectangular snip. I can save to a file-- but would
like it to function like it is supposed to.
