Help with syncing notes

I have a bunch of notes on my Outlook at work (2003 on Exchange), and
Outlook on my laptop (over a VPN to Exchange, also 2003.) When I do
send and receive I get all my email and tasks, however, my Notes do not
synchronize. Any suggestions?

Are you using RPC over HTTP (recommended)? Cached mode (also recommended)?

I am sorry, I don't know, and I don't know how to find out.
