help with sound

cant get sound any more when i go to controal panal and click on sound
it says i have no sound device what could be the problen and what can i
do to fix it thanks

Go to control panel/system/hardware/device manager and look at the
sound, video, and game controllers entry. When expanded, if you don't
see and entry for your audio card, you will need to reinstall the
drivers. If there is an entry but it is marked with an error, post the
information.
