ok here is the situation, i have this cd game called red alert 2 command and
conquer, and i have installed it before like a year ago. now i want to
install it again. here is the problem, i start installing the game and it
goes just fine and when it is finished, i say i want to play red alert 2 now.
so i get to play in like a skrimish mode or campaign mode and for some
really odd reason between 30 - 45 seconds all my guys die and it says you are
defeated. this is not normal. so i got mad and exited the game and when i
was going to get back on there was no shortcut on my desktop, and i clicked
install shortcut to desktop. so i use the search thing and find RA2 and
double click on it. However it wants me to install it again. IT IS LIKE I
NEVER EVEN INSTALLED IT. I have no clue as to what to do to fix this
problem, but if you can help me please do so. and if you could it would be
helpfull if you could tell me how to as simply as you could (not using any
complicated or technalogical words). Please help me.

Wrong section. Should have been post to the Windows XP games newsgroup.

Red Alert 2 is an older game which came out during Windows 98. It is not
aware of the multi-user modes of XP. You need to install it and play it as an
"administrator" of the XP you want it on.

i suggest you to try calling up ea for this issue is more related to the
authentication of the license key for the game.
